We Are Here: Community Message

February 18, 2023 5:00 PM

Our community continues to grieve following the violence on our campus. For all the love and care you have so generously demonstrated these past few days, thank you. Please take a moment to listen to a special video message to you, as we head into aweekend of reflection and preparation for the weeks ahead.

We have a webpage dedicated to a comprehensive collection of supportive resources, important to have on hand for yourself and others. Please be heartened that together,  we will make a better place for tomorrow.

If you are looking for ways to give back now, please see below:

  1. Spartan Strong fund: MSU is asking for any monetary donations to be made to this fund. You can also buy a“Spartan Strong T-shirt,” the proceeds of which will also go to this fund.

  2. Spartan Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Feb. 19 along the river trail: This event’s goal is to create an environment on Sunday for returning Spartans, so they feel supported and cared for. Volunteers will be at tables and handing out donated goods, non-perishable items. For more information see the Facebook page here.

Continue to take care of yourself, and as you work to comfort others know that we are here.

In Peace,

Norman J. Beauchamp Jr., M.D., M.H.S.
