Seth Ciabotti is the Chief Executive Officer of MSU Health Care, the academic health system of Michigan State University. A catalyst for change, Ciabotti excels at transforming large, complex health systems to create an exceptional consumer experience. A progressive leader who incites a collaborative culture, Ciabotti brings together both internal and external partners from across the state to advance MSU Health Care’s mission to improve the health of the communities it serves. Since 2019, Ciabotti has led MSU Health Care’s market share growth for inpatient and outpatient services both locally and throughout the state.

Collaborating with public and private companies, Ciabotti cultivates advanced technology to form innovative health care delivery models. Recently, he brought direct-to-employer primary care, remote patient monitoring and remote physical therapy to MSU Health Care. His most notable achievement is the development of long-term clinical partnerships with Henry Ford Health (HFH), Sparrow Health System and McLaren for commercial insurance with a Medicare Advantage plan, neurosciences, imaging and cancer services, respectively.

Ciabotti is synthesizing the knowledge of best-in-class digital companies alongside MSU Health Care’s clinical experts to swiftly create an ecosystem where health happens. MSU Health Care delivers digital and virtual care to monitor high blood pressure and other chronic conditions between visits and provide virtual physical therapy for rural and remote locations as part of its modern health delivery system. Through future expansions in employer-based primary care clinics, laboratory services and ambulatory surgical centers, Ciabotti aims to increase access to care, drive down health care costs and provide better health outcomes throughout Michigan.

Prior to his leadership role at MSU Health Care, Ciabotti was the vice president of ambulatory operations for Mount Sinai Health System in New York City where he integrated the faculty practice across the 8 hospitals in the health system. Under his leadership, the faculty group increased market share growth through acquisitions and joint ventures and better care delivery with an award-winning, systemwide access center. Ciabotti held roles in Network Development and in the acute-care Hospital at Sinai as well.
